This is the promise we make to our members and community every day. That we can do more together than we can by ourselves.
As a non-profit cooperative our purpose is to serve our Members, who rely on us to provide safe and reliable power. Our duty is to the communities we serve, and we remain committed to this purpose by working together with our Members.
Trico believes in teamwork and communication, and we believe that a diverse team drives innovation and helps us to improve. We are at an important stage in our growth and development, as changes in the industry, advances in technology, and changes in our Members’ needs shape the work we do today and in the future.
Electric cooperatives are owned by the members they serve. In 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt established the Rural Electrification Act to bring electric power to businesses and communities in rural areas.
Today, there are more than 900 electric cooperatives throughout the United States. They provide reliable and technologically advanced service to 40 million Americans while maintaining a unique consumer-focused approach to business.
